‘Personnes’ echoes in Italian ears in an unmistakable way. But the French term contains something more deeply connected and antithetic at the same time: people and their absence, bodies and nobodies. And just this word names Christian Boltanski installation, which is set in the huge spaces of Hangar Bicocca in Milan.
