New Banksy

I know there are a lot of you out there that have a bit of disdain for Banksy, but I personally don't care because I think he's a dope artist and to be quite frank, he's a HUGE reason street art is as popular as it is. If you don't believe me checkout last week's episode of the Simpsons. If he isn't the MJ of street art, he's damn sure the Magic Johnson and/or Larry Bird. At any rate, feast you eyes on some more recent Banksy sightings:

Congestion

Liqen shows us his take on a traffic jam on a wall out in Spain.

Mmmmm Paper Donut

Paper Donut is a bit of a David Blaine when it comes to art, if you don't believe me then feast your eyes on this "Yellow Galaxy" he did out in Toulouse...

Wonder Wall

Gregos has been displaying his face on walls in Paris for about 2 years, he just recently started painting the faces, his reasoning is to create an interaction between himself, art, and total strangers...Which brings people together. Sounds like a great reason to me. Checkout some of his work throughout Paris.

Art Around Town: San Diego

Wouldn't it be great to have an "Art walk" in Chicago like this? Step it up CHICAGO PLEASE! There's a ridiculous amount of art all over San Diego right now in preparation for Viva La Revolucion at the Museum of Contemporary Art! Pieces from Os Gemeos, Shepard Fairey, Vhils, Dr. Lakra, JR , Barry McGee, Invader, Swoon, and Calma just to name a few.

The "M" Train

This could very well be the largest piece of street art I've ever seen in Los Angeles. M-City and Bumblebee completed this wall in 4 days. The stencil-based train stretches 380ft.

Mass Density

Jesse Greene, better known to some as artist Dense83, captures the essence of real and raw urban Chicago culture by merging avant garde techniques with traditional graphic motifs and fine painting. His history as a multi-faceted craftsman speaks to the current work of Dense83, painted on canvas and found objects, which fuses the mediums of contemporary fashion photography, graffiti, crisp graphic aesthetics, mechanical line and vivid color. You can catch him in Chicago at this month's Milwaukee Art Festival

Roa in Spain

Roa is easily my second favorite street artist right now (with Os Gemeos holding top honors). With new work like this he's definitely closing the gap. He's also starting to use walls as "props" so to speak. Like the image of the squirrel next to the billboard, he made it look like an x-ray was being given. Pretty fresh! Be on the lookout for his work. This was his latest stop, Zaragoza (sometimes called "Saragossa" in English), which is in the heart of Spain.
