Be Here Now

"Tomorrow. Eventually. Next quarter. Next year. Five years from now. Exit strategy. Throw these words away. They don't matter. Today is all you have in business. Tomorrow is just today again. Next week? Seven todays in a row. A month isn't 30 days. It's 30 todays. I'm not suggesting you stop thinking about the future. I'm telling you to stop stressing about it. Go on, get lazy." - Jason Fried is co-founder of 37signals, a Chicago-based software firm, and co-author of the book Rework, which was published in March.

Graffit: Artist-Turned-Chef Opens New York Restaurant

Graffit is the New York restaurant debut of former graffiti artist-turned chef Jesus Nunez, and his third restaurant overall. He previously owned two restaurants, Flou and Polenta in Madrid, Spain.

Taking the visual influence of street art and the sophistication of molecular gastronomy, Nunez creates dishes that are visually bold, intellectually intriguing and layered with flavor. His playful approach to cooking brings out the inner child while satisfying the adult palate.

Revenge of the Electric Car (The Movie)

The 2006 film Who Killed the Electric Car took a look at the role that the government, automotive manufacturers, the oil industry, and even consumers played in hindering the development of the electric vehicle in the 1990's. Here is the new movie coming out to educate us on the next phase of this long-time coming innovation to the masses. Will it work this time?

Steve Jobs: 1985 PlayBoy Interview (revisited)

JOBS: There's an old Hindu saying that comes into my mind occasionally: "For the first 30 years of your life, you make your habits. For the last 30 years of your life, your habits make you." As I'm going to be 30 in February, the thought has crossed my mind.

PLAYBOY: And?

JOBS: And I'm not sure. I'll always stay connected with Apple. I hope that throughout my life I'll sort of have the thread of my life and the thread of Apple weave in and out of each other, like a tapestry. There may be a few years when I'm not there, but I'll always come back. And that's what I may try to do.
